Hello there!

I’m Malu Mirones, an illustrator and visual development artist currently based in Europe. I’m originally from Panamá, so I grew up around Latin American and US media, surrounding myself with fiction and storytelling in animation, books, live action, and music.

As an artist, my goal is to take new generations to magical places and thrilling adventures, showing people how to find magic and wonder in the mundane. I also have a deep interest in mythology and folklore, with an aim to popularize Latin American mythology through my work.

Get to know me through some of my animated favorites: Tarzan, Coraline, Lilo & Stitch, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Atlantis: The Lost Empire and (many) more.
