Malu Mirones is an illustrator and visual development artist based in New York City. Originally from Panamá, Malu grew up around Latin American and US media, surrounding herself with fiction and storytelling in animation, books, live action, and music.

As an artist, her dream is to take new generations to magical places and thrilling adventures, showing her audience how to find magic and wonder in the mundane. Malu also has a deep interest in mythology and folklore, with an aim to popularize Latin American mythology through her work.
